Herbal Gummies For Kids

Herbal Gummies For Kids

Here’s a kid-friendly recipe for herbal homemade gelatin gummies using chamomile, oatstraw, dandelion leaf, and catnip. These gummies provide gentle nervous system and liver support while being fun to eat!

### Ingredients:

- 2 tbsp dried chamomile

- 1 tbsp dried oatstraw

- 1 tbsp dried dandelion leaf

- 1 tsp dried catnip

- 1½ cups water

- 2-3 tbsp honey (optional, adjust to taste)

- 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional, for a citrus flavor and added Vitamin C)

- 3 tbsp grass-fed gelatin

- Silicone molds (or a small baking dish)

1.Make the Herbal Tea

   - In a small saucepan, combine chamomile, oatstraw, dandelion leaf, and catnip with 1½ cups of water.

   - Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let the herbs simmer for 10 minutes.

   - Remove from heat and let it steep for an additional 10-15 minutes.

   - Strain the herbs, reserving the liquid. You should have about 1 cup of herbal tea.

2. Sweeten (optional)

   - Pour the herbal tea back into the saucepan (if it has cooled, warm it slightly).

   - Add honey and lemon juice (optional) and stir until fully dissolved.

3. Prepare the Gelatin:

   - In a small bowl, add the 3 tbsp of gelatin.

   - Slowly pour ¼ cup of the warm herbal tea into the gelatin, whisking continuously to avoid clumps. This "blooms" the gelatin.

4.Combine and Dissolve

   - Pour the bloomed gelatin mixture into the remaining herbal tea in the saucepan.

   - Stir over low heat until the gelatin is completely dissolved, but do not let the mixture boil.

5. Pour into Molds:

   - Carefully pour the gelatin mixture into silicone molds or a small baking dish.

   - Let the gummies set in the fridge for about 2 hours, or until firm.

6. Remove and Enjoy

   - Once set, pop the gummies out of the molds (or cut them into squares if using a baking dish).

   - Store the gummies in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.

Dosage:

- For kids, 2-3 gummies per day should be a good portion, depending on the size of the gummies
